  information for you , the reel only has the single number 5, because it is one of the very 1st production models of the 1912 Salmon perfects, Hardy did not put the long numbers on Brass Face and 1906 - 1911 Salmon perfects, and I think the single digit numbers represented the number of reels a reel maker produced in a day or week ?but seemed to start in the 1912 Salmon reel shortly after this 1912 check was introduced.
