patent number 136’217 , 1st model circa 1918, Silex style casting reel in
the best possible condition, this is the 1st model of the 3 reels he
produced, rim having 2 control's, rim mounted adjuster with brass strap
over, and rim brake lever with shaped and turned ivorine lever, spool having
single row of ventilation's, and twin ivorine handles, and back plate having
2 sliding spool release and brake levers, the inside being a mass of blued
steel and brass , reel in superb condition with all the original finish,
Watson of Hexham Northumberland, produced 3 fantastic reels with internal
mechanics so strange and complicated that it took collector awhile to figure
how all the levers worked, this model was the first, he produced 2 more, 1
in 1923 and the other in 1931, these reels rarely turn up,
